The art of crossing your eyes!

I remember being little and it was a HUGE deal when you could cross your eyes. It never bugged me one bit to sit there for long moments of time crossing my eyes with friends and laughing at each other. Well it's kinda of funny cause Eleina said something with her mouth full and sounded funny, which reminded me of the guy from Water Boy who no one understands. So I pretended Eleina was him and I was the crossed eyed guy who talks with his throat. So when I imitated the cross eyed guy, everyone started laughing and it turned into Eleina, Erelyn, Edward and I crossing our eyes and having one of those moments like when I was a kid. So I took pictures of us to see who had the goofiest face. You vote! ahahahahahahaha.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful. We didn't get to cook our own turkey this year but we got to share it with special people. The Schmidt family, who became aware that all our family wouldn't be there with us this year, lovingly and wholeheartedly invited us to their Thanksgiving gathering. It was really chilly but we began the gathering with the whole pop and mentos experiment explosion right in their backyard. That was cool to see. Then we read Psalm 100 and said grace before we all went at it. Everything was great, then after dinner the little children went up to watch a movie and we played games. It was fun and then we went home and the girls stayed up and watched Pride and Prejudice. Today we cleaned, baked I made biscuits from scratch for the first time ever, fun, watched movies and just had a chill day! Didn't go shopping though, we avoided the chaos!
Things to be thankful for?:
I am so thankful for God in my life, He's my dearest friend.
Family, Friends and everything that comes with that, the laughs, tears,
unforgettable memories! I love it all! I also wish to honor Jesus, who saved my family and taught us how to give and love. Blessings

Weather's chilly, so I had to bake!

There was frost everywhere, it was a chilly 36degrees today and I had to get up early to take my 15yr old sibling to get her wisdom teeth ripped out. Seeing her reactions coming out of the anesthesia was the funniest thing I have ever seen her go though! HILARIOUS! I felt stupid cause I kept giggling in front of the nurse, when my sister would do something goofy. I sat beside her on the bench and she kept mumbling and trying to focus on things, it was sooo funny.
Anyway we got home and helped her get cozy and fed her some soup. She seems to be doing better now, but it's unfortunate that her swelling and pain will be at it's peak on Thanksgiving day. I will totally be taking pictures of her chipmunk cheeks for scrap booking sake! haha.
Well I baked a vanilla bundt cake and added cinnamon to the recipe, cause I wanted to make some Spice Chai Tea. The bundt came out great and the Chai Tea w/creme was even better! I sat to drink the tea and have a slice of bundt cake while my recuperating sister and I watched You've Got Mail! I love that movie, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are so funny and sweet together. God blesses us so abundantly to provide and give us peace and family....

STOP!!! For just two minutes to read this......

Song of Solomon 5:2-8
2. I sleep, but my heart is awake; it is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, "Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night."
3. I have taken off my robe; How can I put it on again? I have washed my feet; How can I defile them?
4. My beloved put his hand By the latch of the door, And my heart yearned for him.
5. I aroseto open for my beloved. And my hands dripped with myrrh, My fingers with liquid myrrh, On the handles of the lock.
6. I opened for my beloved, But my beloved had turned away and was gone. My heart leaped up when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
7. The watchmen who went about the city found me. They struck me, they wounded me; The keepers of the walls Took my veil away from me.
8.I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, That you tell him I am lovesick!

Picture yourself lying in bed when a sudden voice or alertness in your spirit awakens you. Your wide awake and can't understand why. You wonder, could it be God speaking to you? You lay there in your warm bed trying to make a choice, should I go back to sleep? or should I answer to the voice of Jesus? Meanwhile Jesus (your beloved) waits for you to answer as he hold oils (annointing) to annoint you. When you finally make the choice to get up and answer to His call he has left. All that is left is the oil that spread from his hands on the door locks. You run desperately calling out to Him but you are exposed to the dangers of the watchmen, they rip your veil and you become wounded. You cry in pain to have your beloved sought because you become aware of that which you treated so carelessly, happened to be your greatest love.
These verses make me cry. I can almost feel the Shulamite's emptiness when she finally opened the door and found her beloved was not on the other side and the only evidence her beloved was there was the myrrh dripping on the locks. I pray I never keep my beloved waiting. Jesus is my most precious love.

The picture: Have you ever been in Gods presence so intently you felt Him dearly close you could almost physically touch Him? I was driving home and these clouds were so low I felt all I had to do was reach to them and I would be able to touch them. How dear is the Glory of God, its hurts to only be able to sense His presence, how Glorious it would be to embrace Him. One day, I know it.

Captivating.......

Unveiling the Mystery of a
Woman's Soul .......

by John and Stasi Eldredge

The author speaks so lovely of our privileges of being a woman and her irreplaceable role.

Psalm 45:11 The king is enthralled by your beauty.

It's very common for woman to look at God with the characteristics of a man; strong, courageous, brave, you know those characteristics that lack gentleness or softness, even in worship we think of David's passion in tearing off his clothes and dancing naked, consumed by God's spirit. In this book, however, I love how she explains Gods relation to a woman's feelings and needs. I have always known that God loves the intimacy we share with Him when we seek Him in prayer and worship, but now I understand how deep and real it's desired when I compare it to the same needs a woman has for affection and approval. To be loved, accepted and embraced is what makes a woman feel beautiful and irreplaceable. God didn't only form man, he formed woman. Where else are we to get our characteristics from? Our beauty, elegance, gentleness, patience, as well as our strength, passion, and spark. Just read in the bible how beautifully God spoke to his people when He longed for them to repent or when he spoke to them with promises. A true romantic my God is, so beautiful.

I love how the author describes woman as the crown of creation:

Woman is the crown of creation-- The most intricate, dazzling creature on earth. She has a crucial role to play, a destiny all her own. And she, too, bears the image of God, but in a way that only the feminine can speak. What can we learn from her? God wanted to reveal something about himself, so he gave us Eve. When you are with a woman, ask yourself, what is she telling me about God? It will open up wonders for you. First, you'll discover that God is relational to his core, that he has a heart of romance, Second, that he longs to share adventures with us -- adventures you cannot accomplish without him. And finally, that God has a beauty to unveil. A beauty that is captivating and powerfully redemptive.

Man's love is of man's life a thing apart, Tis a woman's whole existence -Byron.

I have only read the first three chapters and am on #4 it just keeps getting better and better. I really recommend this to any lady who wishes to discover her worth and beauty in God.

oooh la la Makeup.......

I love makeup! From the "Natural Look" to the "Smokey Eye" or "Red Lip" it's all beautiful to me! I can remember being a preteen and hiding in my bedroom trying on daring shades of red lipstick or applying endless coats of mascara, it was a thrill for me! Growing up I remember clearly girls in high school fawning over each others eyeshadow pigment, lip color or the length of their lashes. It's one of the most exciting things girls get to do when they become ladies.
Here's some history:
The earliest historical record of makeup comes from the 1st Dynasty of Egypt (c.3100-2907 BC). Tombs from this era have revealed unguent jars, which in later periods were scented. The women of Egypt decorated their eyes by applying dark green color to the under lid and blackening the lashes and the upper lid with kohl, which was made from antimony (a metallic element) or soot. It is believed that the Jews adopted the use of makeup from the Egyptians, since references to the painting of faces appear in the New Testament section of the Bible.
. Depilatories were utilized at that time and pumice was used for cleaning the teeth.
Roman philosopher Plautus (254-184 BC) wrote, "A woman without paint is like food without salt." Of course, Plautus was a dramatist, which would explain his preference for the look of a "painted woman" at that time. Romans widely used cosmetics by the middle of the 1st century AD. Kohl was used for darkening eyelashes and eyelids, chalk was used for whitening the complexion, and rouge was worn on the cheek.

I hate makeup that makes your face look dirty or too fake, but when applied properly makeup can be neat and fun! Here are some pics of people I love and have allowed me to play with their faces!
