Woman's Soul .......
by John and Stasi Eldredge

The author speaks so lovely of our privileges of being a woman and her irreplaceable role.
Psalm 45:11 The king is enthralled by your beauty.
It's very common for woman to look at God with the characteristics of a man; strong, courageous, brave, you know those characteristics that lack gentleness or softness, even in worship we think of David's passion in tearing off his clothes and dancing naked, consumed by God's spirit. In this book, however, I love how she explains Gods relation to a woman's feelings and needs. I have always known that God loves the intimacy we share with Him when we seek Him in prayer and worship, but now I understand how deep and real it's desired when I compare it to the same needs a woman has for affection and approval. To be loved, accepted and embraced is what makes a woman feel beautiful and irreplaceable. God didn't only form man, he formed woman. Where else are we to get our characteristics from? Our beauty, elegance, gentleness, patience, as well as our strength, passion, and spark. Just read in the bible how beautifully God spoke to his people when He longed for them to repent or when he spoke to them with promises. A true romantic my God is, so beautiful.
I love how the author describes woman as the crown of creation:
Woman is the crown of creation-- The most intricate, dazzling creature on earth. She has a crucial role to play, a destiny all her own. And she, too, bears the image of God, but in a way that only the feminine can speak. What can we learn from her? God wanted to reveal something about himself, so he gave us Eve. When you are with a woman, ask yourself, what is she telling me about God? It will open up wonders for you. First, you'll discover that God is relational to his core, that he has a heart of romance, Second, that he longs to share adventures with us -- adventures you cannot accomplish without him. And finally, that God has a beauty to unveil. A beauty that is captivating and powerfully redemptive.
Man's love is of man's life a thing apart, Tis a woman's whole existence -Byron.
I have only read the first three chapters and am on #4 it just keeps getting better and better. I really recommend this to any lady who wishes to discover her worth and beauty in God.
Blessings <><
